    Spark plug change

Hotter or colder has to do with the average expected temperature of the plug. It doesn't have anything to do with spark energy so it won't have any impact on MPG. A plug should be hot enough to burn off deposits and cold enough so as to not burn up the electrodes, insulators or cause...

whoosh motorsports high flow catted downpipes

While I appreciate new parts coming out and Whoosh is a good vendor, the stock turbo is the real problem for performance compared to exhaust and downpipes. If you're replacing the turbos, by all means, replace the downpipes as well. That'll maximize your gains and lower the amount of labor on...

    Rear end damage

My untuned 4WD ST will bark the tires on take off if I turn off the the traction control and stability control. Yours should smoke the right rear!

    Rear end damage

Perhaps you could be more specific since you have first hand knowledge of a RWD platform? Did you completely disable traction control? Are you tuned? What RPM did you launch? That information is important. If you didn't disable the traction control, obviously, the ECU will go out of its way...

    ZFG Stage 1?

If it were me- I'd go with the cheapest variation since the choice is really about the intercooler. An intercooler isn't going to add any horsepower to your ride, it will only keep your horsepower more consistent. Assuming the pressure drop is similar across the three options (a higher...

    Smoking on startup after sitting

It wouldn't. Unless it was mistakenly tied into the vacuum pump.

    Drive Line Fault, 4WD disabled

Your local autozone (or other parts store) can pull the DTC (codes) that caused the problem. Write them down and then have them clear the codes. Or, just wait until you can get into Ford. After all, you're not likely to fix the problem on your own, right?

    Drive Line Fault, 4WD disabled

First guess- front wheel speed sensor. Have you been in the mud recently? That's a possibility. Clear the code and see if it recurs. There's also SSM 49045 for this problem on certain 2020s depending on build date.

    Premium gasoline

Well, based on a couple of disagreements I've been in on this forum, I'm not sure everyone would agree about the "never a D" thought. But sometimes even when you're just giving out facts you end up stepping on someone's beliefs which can lead to confrontation. But thanks for the vote of...

    UNBROKEN’s Iconic Silver ST build

Now that is a mod that I can definitely appreciate. Also notice folks in the back how he's considered where the inevitable water will end up. Also notice how the current placement is far enough away from the windshield to avoid the high pressure area at the base. All things to be considered...

    Premium gasoline

As far as your first statement, you're a little off. A Prius (for example) will require around 20 HP to overcome the various parasitic losses of the drivetrain and wind resistance at 65 mph. A box-like ST with AWD and much higher parasitic losses will require a much higher amount of energy to...

    Premium gasoline

A higher ethanol content will always result in lower mpg- just due to the BTU content as I posted earlier. As far as "In the US the difference in price between 87, 91, 93 is negligible"- at my fill-up last week in my area of TN, 87 is 70 cents cheaper than 93! Were I to buy no-ethanol 93 it's...

    Premium gasoline

If you're just talking about mileage and not horsepower, all ECU settings optimum, mathematically on a part throttle cruise (highway) there isn't any reason to see less MPG on 87 than 93 unless the blend somehow has a higher BTU content. So, if you're only interested in price per mile, 87 octane...

QUESTION: Who is using/has used a 3 bolt at the drag strip?

It's possible, but it would have to be fairly precise. IMHO it wouldn't be something that could be done on the vehicle. At that point, you might just as well do the subframe. Or, stop worrying about something that may never happen. Even if it does, Ford will fix it. You can also get the AWR...

    Smoking on startup after sitting

@tjrigario A couple of things to look at: When you took it to the second dealer was the smoke visible immediately after startup? Or did it take a minute or so? You say that the amount of smoke was "depending on the day". Are your drives mostly short hauls to work or back where things might...

    Tires

Because as was posted earlier, they over-inflate the tires during shipping/storage to help prevent flat spots. It should have been taken care of with the "148 point pre-delivery inspection" LOL

    What's everyone's drive mode?

I believe you're right on highway cruise. But for mixed driving Sport mode will absolutely hold gears much longer and upshift much later. You also don't get the coasting effect that you will from ECO or Normal modes. I'm amazed at how far this thing will coast for an auto trans! As such, you...

    Smoking on startup after sitting

They don't replace "turbo seals". They replace the entire turbocharger. I posted earlier about probable causes for OIL burn on startup. If you live in a high humidity environment (like Houston), you are going to get condensation and combined with unburned hydrocarbons may seem to be oil...
