The outer diameter of the tire isn't an issue, but the wheels won't work. The bore size on the last gen explorers and this one aren't the same.

All the time before I got my new wheels. They are plenty strong. Do they add additional moment to the hub bearings? sure. how much and will it impact anything? prob not alot. just keep things torqued appropriately and check your torques often and you will be good to go.
