    SPD Performance Downpipes

Maybe I’m remembering incorrectly, but I didn’t think back pressure was very important with FI cars Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    New Indiana ST owner!

Nice, I wanted that exact same one, but my wife only likes neutral (I.e. boring) colors. It’s an awesome vehicle, congrats Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

DIY 170° thermostat, by OE supplier Stant. A $20 project.

Wow, OP, I can’t believe the resistance you’re getting on this... on two different threads. Thanks for helping people out. Not everyone is mad at you for this [emoji1417] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Chip on left fender

Not sure if this is the correct sub section to post paint issues, but here it goes. I have had my ExST for about 2 weeks now and it has about 650 miles on it, I just found a chip in the paint on the left fender between the door and fender. I was unsure if anyone else had this issue. I have a...

Keep your eye in the spare tire compartment for leaks

Interesting, on the exp/nav the drain tube runs down the C-pillar and it was immediately evident that there was a leak coming from the sunroof area. I’m surprised it made its way all the way back to the D-Pillar, but I also know nothing about the sheet metal and inner workings of the 2020...

    2020 Explorer ST Fuel Questions

That's a pretty neat fuel pump set up

Keep your eye in the spare tire compartment for leaks

Haha, it actually has to do with the inability to cure in the various ovens in paint. It is designed to expand when heated and if the d-pillar does not get hot enough or if there are material issues that prevent it from expanding properly (the issue is usually the latter not the former), then...

    Dealership Undercoating

Fair enough. I suppose I could see why you'd be more concerned. I always wondered how effective getting something like Line-X or Rhino liner would be on the underbody. That's probably the route I would go if I ever needed it.

    Dealership Undercoating

I've never lived further north than central Illinois, so take what I say with a grain of salt. With all of the anti-corrosion technology used in OEM automotive, I do not believe an undercoat is necessary. As long as there is no existing break in the e-coat, there isn't much need to use...

Keep your eye in the spare tire compartment for leaks

Yes, but when it’s an intermittent issue, it’s hard to catch. Not every single vehicle gets every single test. That would take more time and money than Ford is willing to spend. It’s cheaper to fix the few vehicles that have issues than to test every single one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Keep your eye in the spare tire compartment for leaks

Possibly an issue with a baffle in the d-pillar. Very common issue in early 2013-2014 escapes as well as 2018 expedition navigator. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    lightweight performance wheels 20-21" ???

Wow... That's a BIG weight savings... 60 lbs over 4 wheels. I don't really understand why factory wheels weigh so much... only reason I can think of is cost savings. But I do not know what goes into wheel/tire development from and OEM perspective

    New guy and first "mod"

Well I know catch cans were big on the mustangs and the F-150's. Do the Explorers have the same issue?

What did your Ford Explorer ST replace?

Well I traded my 2018 F-150 STX in on the Explorer ST... but the Explorer went to my wife and I got her 2015 Edge sport. I really like both vehicles a lot (the Edge and the Explorer). I think the only reason I prefer the Explorer over the Edge is because it's newer and "techier". I updated the...

    New guy and first "mod"

I'm new here, just picked up an Iconic Silver ST on August 3rd. Only options are tech pack and street pack. I posted my first post here to mention my first "mod". The dealer installed the front license plate holder but in KY front license plates are not a thing. So I had to remove it and had 3...
