    New ST owner in Arizona

Welcome! I hear the same thing. I just assumed it was the vehicle sensing the key fob and preparing to start up all of the electrical components so you have to wait less time once you actually get in and turn it on.

    Custom exhaust

Yea I don't remember if I did, but I feel like I probably did. I have done TONS of work on my own vehicles (including installing long tubes on my mustang in my garage on jack stands with hand tools, if you know anything about mustangs you know how terrible of a job that is). I was less scared of...

How many miles did your Explorer ST have when you bought it?

I think mine had 190 or so. Not sure how long it was on the lot but I bought it in August and had a January build date

    Custom exhaust

air bags scare me. I swapped one steering wheel one time and I did it all from the passenger seat haha

Getting irritated with some of the driver assist functions

I turned off the lane keep assist, collision warning and adaptive cruise. I would love to have a fully autonomous self-driving car. I also REALLY enjoy driving myself. but to have some bastardized, hybridized version of semi-autonomous is terrible. That stuff just screws me up and I actually pay...

Just out here glowing in the sun.

Looks great! Not really relevant but I see you also had to use the painted bumper plugs for the license plate bracket holes. In KY front plates are not required, yet for some reason the dealer installed the front plate bracket

Name ONE ST Feature others might not know.....

Ugh, I might have misspoken, I do know it is on some models, and that the Explorer isn't the first. To say it is on ALL Fords may not be accurate.

    New 1/4 mile record 11.669 @ 116.61

That's badass, I wish there was a video

    SPD Performance Downpipes

You don't like the sound of the 3.0 EB?!? I think it sounds glorious. Longitudinal mount "V" engines generally sound better than transverse mount, IMO. The 3.5 sound is terrible in the Raptor, but the 3.0 in the Explorer is very nice.

Name ONE ST Feature others might not know.....

This has been a feature on all Fords with the ambient lighting for a couple of years now. Just a visual indicator for "door ajar", pretty neat though

    Corsa is in the game.

I'm sure there's some trivial change in HP (hell maybe even a decrease for all we know) but 1HP is well within the margin of error, you'll gain and lose more than that based on weather conditions. Even 12 HP is probably achievable with the right weather (super hot and humid vs relatively cool...

    Corsa is in the game.

Unless you're removing cats or adding long tubes or something, I assume all catback/axleback exhaust upgrades are purely for the sake of having a better sounding exhaust and assume that HP gains are exactly 0.

    Corsa is in the game.

I have owned both Borla and Corsa exhaust and I will say that Corsa does seem to be higher quality. That's not a knock on Borla at all as they make great products, but Corsa is just that much better. With that said, I definitely agree that $1600, or even $1200 is way too high.

    Adaptive Headlamps

Just watched a video on it... that's really cool. Reminds me of the mid 2000's Passat, except I'm sure it is a much better iteration on the Explorer

    Adaptive Headlamps

    Wait...what are adaptive headlamps?
