Avoid this shop and keep looking. They don’t have an alignment rack which is why they’re telling you it’s not required.

Are you sure you’re not looking at 2020 ST’s int some pics, and 2021+ ST’s in others? I believe the 2021+ ST’s are more tinted from the factory vs the 2020’s.

Oh for sure. I count my lucky stars with that. When I picked up my ST slightly used the 3 bolt/4 bolt issue hadn’t been widely discovered yet so I was super happy when I later checked and confirmed I had the 4 bolt setup. And the BOV issue seems to be a later ‘21 running change, but I was lucky...

And some 2021’s (but not all). I have a 2021 that has both a BOV as well as the 4 bolt rear subframe.

Any idea what the story is with the previous owner? It seems insane that he spends ~$20K in upgrades to his (now your) Ex, only to then dump it a relatively short time later. You scored an amazing deal, by the way!

Guarantee this happened when the previous owner walked by the Ex and the liftgate suddenly auto-raised into the garage door.

Not sure on a Explorer ST, but on my Focus ST I tapped into the rear wiper motor for power for the rear view camera. If I remember correctly it’s switched. You’d have to check with a volt meter, but I’d be surprised if the Explorer is not a similar setup.

I know this is getting to be a more common method of doing an oil change, but I can’t help but wonder if you’d be risking leaving any fine particles stuck in the bottom of the pan. I know there shouldn’t be much on a well running engine, but there’s gotta be something. Any thoughts?

Plus with more Explorers having the 400hp tune there’s more chance Ford will get off their butts and make some more Ford Performance parts/tunes for our engines.

One other thing to consider is the 21” wheels/tires are worth way more in the classifieds, so it’s possible you could come out ahead ordering one with the 21” wheels/tires after you sell them. Especially once you start comparing the option bundle packages.

I haven’t heard of anyone running one on their Explorer ST yet, but in the Focus ST world the Levels intercooler is known to be high quality and well-engineered.

Seriously have no clue what this post is referring to. My has ‘21 ST has H&R springs and no rubbing, and I see zero issues how this could be a problem stock or otherwise. Lots and lots of room.
