Dealer visit and request for warranty work expectations?

Vehicle was completed today, was in for 7 days. The experience was good. I didn't ask for a loaner as I thought it would be just a few days. They provided a loaner (rental car) once it was Friday and it still wasn't done. 1. (Heated steering wheel not working) Replaced entire steering wheel...

Post 2 - Oil catch can installation, observations and results

True no increase, but without it you "may" have seen a decrease in mpg. Knowing your current results, would you install a catch can on your next car?

Post 2 - Oil catch can installation, observations and results

The claim of better mpg and throttle response is probably only true after 50k-60k miles compared to not having a catch can. Your intake valves should have significantly less build up with a catch can installed. Therefore, after about 50k miles, the mpg might be a bit better, have more power and...

Dealer and PremiumCare saying rattling flex pipes no longer being covered under warranty

Not sure I would replace with OEM on your own dime as problem will probably be there in a year or so. Might be better off asking muffler shop to inspect the cats/downpipe area and only if they aren't cracked replace with better aftermarket flex pipes. Dropping mine off today for first time...

    Forscan Auto Start/Stop turn off?

Agree. Coming from many previous VW/Audi's, a low battery or aging battery causes all sorts of issues that seem unrelated to battery health.

    Forscan Auto Start/Stop turn off?

I bought my 2020 recently and I assumed they had a start stop eliminator installed as AS/S never engaged for the first 2 weeks or so. I started fiddling with the AS/S console button to see if it did anything. And now AS/S comes on randomly, probably once every 10 drives. I checked under...

Dealer and PremiumCare saying rattling flex pipes no longer being covered under warranty

Good to hear that. My appointment is next week for exhaust smell and rattle and several other things. Still factory warranty

    Speedometer display

Thanks, I was just pressing the X off button on steering wheel. I didn't think I needed to fully disable the cruise distance feature in the assist settings.

    Speedometer display

I've never been able to center my speedometer no matter what I do. It's always on left in all modes, without cruise/lane assist on or off. I prefer the dual gauge sport mode look with speedo and Rpm left and right. Seems like it should be more customizable, like center or dual gauges available...

Dealer and PremiumCare saying rattling flex pipes no longer being covered under warranty

It is really frustrating to accept a rattle. Worth trying another dealer and being specific about the rattle and you're worried it may get worse. If they say it's normal then yeah I guess a cheap clamp or even replace that part with the aftermarket flex pipe ove seen on this forum.

Dealer and PremiumCare saying rattling flex pipes no longer being covered under warranty

In my experience, dealers need specific direction at what to look for if you want them find a problem. Especially right before the warranty expires. Asking them to look over the car and exhaust likely got a generic inspection from a tech. But does it rattle more at cold start up under the...

Dealer and PremiumCare saying rattling flex pipes no longer being covered under warranty

I have an appointment next week for warranty work on my 2020 and this is one of the items I plan to ask for. Although I'm still under factory warranty, so wonder if that's any different. Additionally I have an exhaust smell constantly when I'm at idle. Pretty sure it's from those rattling flex...

Dealer visit and request for warranty work expectations?

Interesting, I'll compare the sound to mine next cold start.

Dealer visit and request for warranty work expectations?

I attempted to record a video of the startup rattle/noise and discovered the sound is coming from underneath the car. More of an exhaust vibration/rattle and found a thread with the same sound. Appears to be a known issue with a TSB fix to clamp the rattling flex pipes and subsequent exhaust...

Dealer visit and request for warranty work expectations?

Hey all, new owner of a 2020 as of this week. Has 19k miles. 3/36 expires in October. Taking it into dealer for first time for oil change, and a few recalls that weren't taken care of. Rear camera and another one or two I think. I plan to ask them to look at several items under warranty. What...
