    Leaking oil?

Dealers tend not to do anything until a code appears. With just a leak, the dealer will be replacing only the O-ring with the revised part. That said, I externally sealed the FADA leak with Permatex red sealant and also Permatex spray sealant, after cleaning with brake cleaner (as mentioned...

    Leaking oil?

Yes. To slap on th O-ring on a FADAis the same work as doing the new intermediate shaft except you have to reflash theAWD module. The driver's axle is different but they already haveto replace yours if leaking. Just say you worry about theFADA failing and would like the new intermediate shaft...

Tune caused P0035 and P2418 codes

It's probably the Cobb tune. There are differences in stock tunes depending on your vehicle. Most tuners will take your stock calibration and apply their changes. Even my Livernois canned tunes are given to me based on what my stock calibration is. Does Cobb do the same?

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Ditto. It would be annoying as hell if everytime I moved forward slowly, the front camera is displayed. The button on the console is the perfect solution for that forward parking spot.

Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

We honestly won't know if the new bushing design works until a year or two later. The bolt replacement is going to buy Ford time. And for the talk of a few hundred failures for 200k+ Explorers, let it be known that only the Ecoboost 3.0L were designed by Ford engineers for the 4 bolt...

    Leaking oil?

Certainly possible. Mine leaked enough to cover the entire rear of the oil pan and onto the subframe. You can see if it's bad by just looking from the side and seeing if you see oil on the subframe and oil pan. Also, the oil is not dark like used motor oil. Some have reported that their...

    Leaking oil?

The TSB says builds up to 08/2021.

    Leaking oil?

There's no TSB for the FADA leak. There is a TSB for the FADA failing. Remedy is to get rid of the FADA and replace with intermediate shaft and LH axle half shaft. TSB 23-2174

    Drive mode knob locked?

Glad you got that working. Never knew that was possible.

    Tramlining; weird issue.

That doesn't mean it's bad. It is the well known metallic "tink" sound and the fix is to lube the axle splines. Early on, dealers were replacing the axle but that should not be the solution anymore.

    Pirelli tires

Another vote for Pirelli Weatheractives. Compared to my recollection of Micheline A/S4 when new, these are more comfy. Grip seems just as good. In fact, I recently had an emergency stop with brake assist activated and really saved me from rear-ending the car in front.

    ST Lemon

Any possibility for lemon law? I certainly wouldn't be happy with all that.

    What kind of problems? judder?

    Oil change

Highway robbery. Just do it yourself. It's relatively easy. You should be able to DIY for about $50 for synthetic oil, filter, and drain plug.

Tossing around idea of trading in our '23 ST?

I'd personally wait for the 2025's. It is supposed to have the google infotainment. Sync 4 may be an improvement on Sync3 but that's not saying much.

    Driveshaft Seal Check

Being a MY2022, you *may* have v.1 of the intermediate shaft. it looks like the FADA but is missing the harness port. Only way to tell is to peek at the FADA connected to the LH front axle and see if it has a connector. There are a lot of "things" with MY2020-2021. Being that you are an...

    Driveshaft Seal Check

Advacomp, if you just have a FADA leak and no codes, they will remove your FADA and replace the faulty O-ring most likely. I would strongly urge you to discuss replacing the FADA entirely for the new intermediate shafts that have been going in since 2022. Most recently 2023+ have been getting...

    Interior Rattle / Clicking Noise

Sounds like the undershield. If you haven't done so already, replace all plastic fasteners with stainless m6 nut and fender washer.
