    3rd to 5th Shift

Shifting in normal mode is designed to advance to the next gear that will keep RPMs within a fuel saving range. If there's no requirement for acceleration, it will jump gears to keep the RPMs down. You will notice this even more on a downgrade where there's even less of a load on the engine...

    Front Struts

I'll check on that strut bearing. Is that a separately replaceable part? According to Steeda, they computer designed their strut to OEM specs. At least that's from their mouths.

    Front Struts

They have a nerve even asking for that!

    Front Struts

Yeah, that's why I despise Ford dealerships. If their technician was backlogged, wouldn't they have known that when they quoted you same day service? Dealerships around here don't even have loaners.

    Front Struts

Yes, I've read that they are ST OEM standard specs but they are designed by Steeda, not Ford, and may be less prone to breakage. I'm not looking for an upgrade, just looking for an option other than Ford. There's been a lot of complaints about the stockers and their clunking, mine included.

    Front Struts

Hmmm. Wondering if the stockers are cr4p to begin with or if they're even the culprit. How long did they have your ST?

    Front Struts

Looks like Steeda may be in the game? https://www.steeda.com/steeda-555-8436-explorer-pro-action-front-strut-kit?srsltid=AfmBOoqEpw6vOMRRS792GVFw8uiHT4WryNxz2PRsxZfVLuEbfPZHFHp8

    Front Struts

Has anyone had Ford replace these and have they held up or should I consider a different brand? Bilstein, Monroe, BC/Lethal Performance etc come to mind.

    Rattling

    Point!

    Recircling Air

Sounds like something they'd be able to do with a tune.

    Recircling Air

So, the 2020 is considered new? Yes, it is annoying especially when the "fresh air" is not so fresh.

    Recircling Air

Is it just me or does everyone's air recirculation turn off after 5 minutes? Mine is methodical. When I turn it on, it turns off in exactly 5 minutes. What's the point of having that button if it doesn't work? Or maybe it's something to adjust in the settings?

2025 Ford Explorer ST Front End Popping Noises at Low Speeds

Seems everyone is experiencing repeat occurrences with the OEM struts. Has anyone ventured into the aftermarket equivalent? I'm inclined to price Bilstein, Steeda, Monroe etc. With all the autos that I've owned, I've never had to replace struts and I've driven most of them 240,000 mi. That's...

Stock turbo draggy runs! 11.06 on e85 and 11.55 on 93.

Those #s are smokin' with no ethanol and minor upgrades!

E50 ZFGR tune 558 whp and 11.32 @120 full weight draggy!

Would be interesting to know where you got the extra little HP gains.

    Tuning

Yes, power is accumulative. It all depends on what you may settle for in HP/$. Over 2K is a bit of expense for 25HP and some growl but if you have that to play with ...

    Adaptive cruise control relocation

I would think that would confuse calibration of the ACC.

    Thermal 2.5" vs 3"?

    Thanks!

    Thermal 2.5" vs 3"?

Drawing a blank here. Can you refresh me on FBO? Thanks! :)

    3" Thermal vs. AWE?

Thanks. Kinda figured the 3" pipe variety would add some in cabin sound but just wasn't sure how much difference the muffler/resonator combo would counter the volume.
