Rear end damage

The plastics on the steering wheel and dash are the matte finish which only was on the 2020 model, they switched to the gloss black for 2021, so the one you are referring to would have had the 4 bolt.
FOLLOW UP:

I just asked Sstockss for a clarification on his reply that he had the 1 bolt.

Awaiting his response, I went to his YT vid and searched through the responses where he indicates his build date was 11/19 making it a 2020 model:

Which would still fall under the recall date parameters:

mine was built 5/12/2022 and it has 1 bolt

I had someone on Facebook tell me the 3 bolt design is now correct but there was a batch of bad 3rd bolts that were breaking.

Actually, that makes more sense than anything I've heard thus far.

If that is the case, then FORD should simply replace the bolts.

Yeah who knows the actual truth. Wish we had someone on the inside. I wonder if ford will ever consider a diffy stiffy or whatever it’s called.

Whoever knows isn't talking. Lol

Not sure they would go with the expense of a diff brace if it only needs some updated bolts.

Is this the same rear axle bolt recall where they fix it with only a software flash that keeps your electronic parking break on when you are in park or start up which you then have to disengage or hit the gas pedal to automatically disengage which makes the car lung forward or backward? That's what my dealer did after misleading me into thinking they were fixing something mechanically. I asked them if it coudl be reversed and they said no.

Well, your dealer didn't really "lie" in that this is FORD's response to the vehicle not rolling away in the extremely rare event there's a bolt shear.

As such, it addresses a safety issue and under no circumstance would it ever be reversed.

I have used my ebrake since day one of ownership almost 3 years ago and it NEVER lunges or has problems engaging or disengaging the e-brake when parked. People really need to calm down about this e-brake thing. I wish mine automatically disengaged so I wouldn't have to remember to do it every time I park! LOL My driveway has an incline so I never park without the brake on.

I have used my ebrake since day one of ownership almost 3 years ago and it NEVER lunges or has problems engaging or disengaging the e-brake when parked. People really need to calm down about this e-brake thing. I wish mine automatically disengaged so I wouldn't have to remember to do it every time I park! LOL My driveway has an incline so I never park without the brake on.
I also use my parking brake everytime (okay, almost), but I just hate being told I have to use it.

We get that, but overall a non issue when compared to seriously meaningful things.

Your vehicle doesn't do this? I have the habit of setting the brake too, but just tapping the gas in drive or reverse releases the brake without me doing it if I forget.

Sorry I meant I wish it automatically ENGAGED. Mine does auto disengage.

ah ok, I thought they all worked the same for that haha. I had the recall done and it did auto set, but then I flashed my tune again and it wiped it out hahahaha. Oops.

Same thing happened to me after I had the recall done.

Just spoke to my dealer about my 2022 ST and they said they are out of parts, but once in I will get a letter explaining how to get my one bolt replaced. Waiting to hear if it’s a new subframe. Standby…

I don't see FORD offering anything but an e-brake re-flash. New subframes on all of the 252,936 cars involved would cost them 758 million dollars. Not happening ...

That sounds reasonable they won’t be replacing the subframe however I’ve already had the park brake enabling upgrade done. Thats why I’m waiting to see what my dealer tells me.
