Noticed the front cup holder was busted on one side after purchasing it last week. Bottom was only held on with little plastic rivets. Ended up using a soldering iron and fusing the pieces together. YouTube helped me remove the console, but provided no help accessing the cup holders. It comes apart front to back.

Center console and cup holders

The pic you have there looks like a cover piece sold to change the appearance of the console. I certainly could be wrong but those look like stick-on pieces. You probably need to go beyond just those pieces to get to the things you want to clean. I'm thinking the console would need to come out.

There are videos on Youtube on the process, which will help give you a good visual. Below is just one as an example.
The cupholders can be repaired. There are 4 plastic spot welds on the bottom of each and what happens is they fail and push through. Folks have reinforced the old ones (or new cupholders) by drilling a small hole next to the plastic spot welds and inserting small bolts and nuts. That would completely fix the problem.
Here's a photo of a cupholder I have on my bench. You can see 2 of the mushroomed plastic welds here. There are 8 total. If you can reassemble the cupholder properly, take a drill and drill into the flat area next to the plastic welds and insert small nuts/bolts and tighten up. Done.
A new cupholder is about $75 or so. If you go new i'd probably reinforce it as well with hardware.
