Swapped the heating pad a year ago... probably at 85k miles. Not too hard and the heating pads are cheap.

Same here, only costs 25 cad to order the element. Take me three hours to replace it. (Tips: alcohol can help when removing the old mat) This is the first car I have had a heated seat issue. My old 2013 Fusion has a much better build quality than my 2020 Explorer.

The thermistor in my heating pad disengaged, causing the pad to desolder after heating up like crazy. Ford simply used hot melt adhesive to hold it in place. The new heating pad seems to be better quality hopefully I won't need to replace it again.

Been back to the dealership twice for the driver's heated seat not working. At first I was told it was the module, which they replaced. It didn't fix the problem. Going back to have the element replaced. All other seat functions worked, before and after the module replacement.

My 2016 drivers side went out a year or so out of warranty and my dealer wanted $1600.00 to repair it!

Can you share where you bought the heating element and where you found instructions? Thanks

My 2020 stopped working last week with 37k on the clock. Drivers side. Used to work. Dash light still come on. Also need the window buttons replaced (recall) and drivers window goes back down auto when it gets to the top closed.
