Thanks for the replies guys. Just to give a little more background. We parked our vehicle during March / April, whilst we were away on vacation. The vehicle was put away and and the brakes were wet etc as we live in snowy northern Maine. We took the vehicle out when we returned and the brakes were stuck, but released as they have done on many of our cars over the years. The brakes weren't too bad but obviously the rotors had some very light 'corrosion' on. Instead of the brakes improving they have continually gotten worse to where the brake pedal now pulses when pressed. So hence my needing to check the brakes and I would like to disassemble and clean them up. I am old school, I have been working on cars since the 70's. However I have never seen brakes with an adhesive pad on the back and electronic brake mode etc. hence my post. I got the bolts out easily enough, but was stumped at the adhesive pad, it seems to be well and truly stuck to the caliper, I didn't want to damage any paint on the caliper by prying them out. The car did go to the dealer and they wanted $700 for a new rotor and pads. the car has less that 14k on it and we have barely drove it as we have another vehicle, since April.
Where would I get Forscan as it looks like it may be worth having on hand. Thanks for all your replies I appreciate it.
