That would be the very opposite of bang-for-the-buck.

Think about this fact for a moment- there are T3 frame turbochargers with compressor outputs that are a single 2.5" outlet which flow 80+ lbs/minute mass airflow. That means somewhere around 800 hp on gasoline. T4 frames will move 120+ lbs/min (1200hp) with a single 3" compressor outlet.

If you like the idea of putting something like this on your car to make it look cool underhood- more power to you. If you think this is a performance benefit under 800hp, it's not.

Nobody has one installed yet. Brett just got the printed jig back yesterday I think so he can start building them. I’ll have one of the first ones sent out but it’ll probably be a few weeks yet.

Might be a noob question, but couldn't the stock piping be more restrictive than the flow of the turbo? Because of shape or corrogation(if that is the right word) or other factors?

Each of those single turbos is only putting out ~30 lbs/min of airflow- max. It's very doubtful they are that restrictive. FenFab does make a cold side pipe, and the OEM does neck down. That would likely be a better use of your money although I wouldn't bother with any of it without ugraded turbos. Remember that even if there is a bit of a restriction, all that causes is the turbo to spin a bit faster to supply the demanded "boost". It doesn't necessarily imply that it would significantly affect HP.

Thanks for the explanation!

Turbo's are on my wishlist but not for this year :)

I’ve had them on for about 8 months now. I really do not notice a difference to be honest. I am constantly reattaching the pipes to the boots. Really considering on selling the set and adding the ones back on tbh.

Clean the boots and connections and spray some hairspray in the boots then tighten the clamps well…no more issues. That trick has been around since the dawn of turbos and still works.
The last connection I had come apart was a broken clamp.

Replace OEM clamps with tbolts. He will send an extra clamp which is smaller (he did for me) than the rest of them. I put it on passenger side boot. I replaced driver side with bolt. No issues after over a month.

Can you elaborate a little more please? He sent me a total of 7 clamps; 6 are the same and one is smaller. So use the small one on the passenger side and buy another one for the drivers side? Do I need 4 all together, 2 on each side or just one? Is it a 2" or 1 1/2"? I’d like to have everything ready before I start. Thanks!

I used the small clamp to clamp hot pipe to boot. Left OEM clamp boot to turbo on passenger side. I used same size clamp (small one) for driver side, hot pipe to boot. OEM clamp boot to turbo. I can’t remember the size exactly I used, maybe 2” but the sizes are on the clamps in millimeters. Just convert millimeters to inches.

Ok, I get it now. I wonder why he only sends one clamp instead of two. Thanks!

Ok, so passenger side needs the smaller clamp but the drivers side doesn’t? I’m just trying to gather as much info as I can so I don’t get stuck needing something in the middle of the install.

Yes, he (Brett) gave me a reason why but I can’t remember why. I deleted the email too and can’t find it, but seems others were having issues as well.
