I found this on the Facebook group but wanted to share here as well... took about an hour to do it all, but not bad for < $40 mod - my wife LOVES it!
Did a full writeup here: https://2023-exst.blogspot.com/2023/03/really-slick-led-light-strip-for.html

Okay, I actually like how that looks. Any chance you have a night shot of it?

Night shot at the 4minute 33 second mark of the video … product applied to a different vehicle but they do the same on the explorer.

Without the rubber strip on the hood, the hood slams down on the light strip, right? Is that a concern? Is it possible to attach the light strip forward of the rubber?

that actually looks good in the video at least. I need to see it at night some time.
I like you name the exact parts you used and even a write up so the next guy can have a easy time of it.

it may be possible, i don't believe the hood hits the light strip - will have to get out and check the gap, my goal was to have light exposed, but not necessarily see the strip on the vehicle

The driver side doesn’t allow clearance but the rest of the hood has about .1” gap

Really appreciate you posting this. We just did this yesterday and it was super easy. I had the wife lay the light strip, as I "put on everything crooked". It looks so good. Thanks for documenting so well.

Where did you say you wired the black wire to ground? In the write up it says to a fender bolt, but which one did you use, the one write there next the headlamp?

Did you also have to remove the rubber gasket on the hood? That’s what’s keeping me from this install.

Yes but you may be able to find a way to mount in front of it or raise the hood a little, right now there’s about a .1” gap between the hood and the led strip with the gasket removed
