I am starting to like the overall appearance and usability of standard Sync 3 over CarPlay (plus not having to use a USB cable). The one app I am missing is Spotify, it seems either Sync 3 or Spotify decided to stop support of each other. I can still use it via BT but I would prefer to have controls on the screen like Pandora. Anyone have success with a workaround? - 2022 ST

I have not seen any options. Maybe find a good phone mount to give you those controls.

Of note, you can get a wireless CarPlay adapter and they work great.

Spotify no longer officially supports Sync 3, so there’s no fully reliable way to get it working with full on-screen controls. The only options that work consistently are using Spotify via Bluetooth or through CarPlay/Android Auto. Some users have tried older Spotify versions or APKs, but these are unofficial workarounds and may not be stable.
