I think the answer to this question is no, but before accepting that I want to ask the following question. Is there a way to set the vehicle to always be in Sport mode rather than Normal mode when it is started?

Not possible, every time you turn the engine on/off it resets the drive mode.

Some folks that got theirs tuned was able to default to sport mode I believe.

Wish ford allowed some of these things to be customized.

I'm waiting for an answer from Palm Beach dyno with regard to that exact feature. I want it to default in sport mode when I start the vehicle. That should be a user programmable feature on the ST. We spent the coin to get a sport truck and we should be allowed to default to any dash and performance we want.

Try ZFG as well. I’ve heard good things.

Not true. They default to normal no matter who tuned it.

I’m just going by what’s posted on the FB group. I was hoping it was true.

I was at Palm Beach Dyno last week and we had this exact discussion. I am waiting for a response if a custom file can accomplish this. I wasn't met with denial but "let me discuss with the programmers". I will follow up and the end of this week if they do not reach out. I am ready to take the leap and do the tune regardless of the outcome of default boot mode.

3 clicks to the right isn't that bad to remember guys... But yes a feature as such would be great..

The best thing I purchased is autostop eliminator. Never have to forget about pushing that bottom again.. Works great..

I beg to differ. I have enough crap to remember when I get in the car. Keys, Phone, Mask, Wallet, Set the Home Alarm, Check all HD cams are on line, Turn Off Engine Auto Start Stop, Check out my 26 year old neighbor sitting by her pool in a 2 piece bikini and you want me to remember 3 clicks to the right?.... I am am just one man bro. LOL

I have PBD tunes (have 3, tried and use only 1; '91-31 Oct. Stg. 1') and I am very happy thus far. Doesn't impact the drive mode selection but it does disable auto start/stop.

i wonder if you can just have your tuner change the parameters of normal to sport so even when it defaults to normal, that really is just another sport mode...
