Tires are on. I’m not in love. My Pirelli 315’s were a much better fit. These Yokohama’s are WIDE. They’re a bit too far past flush for my taste. I’m gonna put a few miles on them but it’s highly likely I’ll go back to 295’s shortly. View attachment 35272

After I cut the floor in the back, I couldn’t use the factory belly pan thing anymore because it blocked the vent. I tried cutting some holes in it, but it was still making noise when the stereo was playing. I removed it and then the back bumper is all floppy and weak so I finally got off my butt and drew up a new air deflector to lock everything down tight again. I made this from .050 aluminum in our fab shop today.

Well these 315’s are just absurdly wide. Yokohama definitely gives you your moneys worth. lol
I decided to try out the Atturo AZ850 back in a 295/40…lots of good reviews and not bad on price. Higher speed rating than the Lionharts in the same price range too. I’ll throw them on later this week. IMG_0560.jpeg

If you happen to road force I’d be curious the results prior to correction. Thankfully the Explorer is not very sensitive to road force but once over 30 lbs it becomes pretty noticeable.

Added the new radiator shroud from Josh at horsepowerfabrication.com today…first one off the press. Fit and finish is perfect. If you wanna hide that ugly spot this is the right tool for the job. IMG_0607.jpeg

Damnit Unbroken!!! You keep making or coming up with all of this cool stuff that I didn't know I needed... If you end up making the tinted cover for the Blue Cruise pod let me know, I would buy one from you.

I actually should have a CNC’d prototype at the end of next week if I have time to go get it.
