So the driver I have (Morel MM3) is has a basket that is too large to mount to the factory screws (#1, #2). I was wondering what everyone else has done in this situation (that are mounting drivers to the door)? Right now I think I'm going to make a bracket that will attach to screw #3 but am wondering if two tiny screws will be enough to hold that speaker in place (it's much heavier than OEM driver). Also wondering if anyone else has widened the hole with a rotary tool and if that compromises any integrity of that piece of plastic?

Make a mount using the oem speaker as the template with a hole big enough for your driver. Mount with oem hardware.

I tried that. The mounting ring for the driver is larger than the OEM screw holes. I'm going to have to make a bracket that uses #1 and #3 and the screws.
