Electrical burning smell, now no power

2020 ST. Drove it a a few times today. Final drive, just pulling up to park and start smelling electrical burning smell. Shut vehicle off. It locked with the door handle as usual. Went back out 10 mins later to investigate and no power at all. Could only unlock with manual key. No power. Tried both keyfobs. I will check fuses, etc in the daylight, but don’t want to make it worse. Anything else I can check? I am no stranger to working on cars. I have the gold extended warranty. Should I just have it towed to the dealer?

I am not a very good electrical troublehsooter but you're right to look at the fuses. The Owner's Manual should have a map of fuses so you can identify what circuit, if any, has been affected. Look for any signs (soot or melted insulaiton) at the battery and alternator. Check the voltage at the battery to see if it is healthy then check the alternator and the start (power or not?). Does the power come on when the Start/Stop button is pushed or is it dead? If the dash comes on, the problem may turn out to be something easy like the wiring harness at the door.

Hopefully, somebody who knows electrical stuff will chime in soon.

Yes, Sir, that is a much better idea. And that option eliminates the risk of getting zapped (or setting the ST on fire) while poking around under the hood.
