Hi,
Do these STs have one of these? I'm getting a P0234 code for Overboosting. The 3 components that would be responsible are:
Waste Gate
Waste Gate Actuator
Turbo Control Solenoid

The latter would seem to be the easiest to replace so I'm starting with that but I can't seem to find one past the 2019 generation.
Has anyone had this code and if so, what did you do?

Kind of looks like this -

Thanks!

I have gotten that code before, but it was during logs/testing. There's a vacuum control valve assembly that regulates the wastegates.

Your tuned right? I’d contact your tuner.

I had this issue under certain circumstances with my ZFG tune. I reached out to Adam and he got it squared away with a new tune update. Different story if you are all stock.

Yes and I sent Adam a text a few days ago and heard nothing back. I was also going to revert to a previous tune to see if that made a difference.
Otherwise, I'll have to put in a TDN request.

I have the 93DMS tune and a dedicated E30 tune. I had a feeling about the tune but still waiting for Adam to get back to me.
Thanks for confirming your story.

It would typically happen when I get on the throttle hard, but then realize for whatever reason that it was too much and abruptly get off the pedal. Something like giving too much while turning and taking action as wheels start spinning to avoid the violent traction control reactions.

Not sure what Adam did to the tune but it hasn't happened since. I am also subconsciously avoiding ID10T driving errors like that from myself nowadays.

As of recent, I started getting a bog down while hitting 2nd gear at full throttle. A couple of times, it went into limp mode. Also encountered limp mode after a 0-100mph full throttle pull.
Tomorrow, I'm going to flash the last Revision which I think is a little less aggressive and see if that solves the problem while I'm waiting for Adam to get back to me.
When I emailed the ZFG customer service, they told me I was probably getting more boost because of the colder weather.

I never had it happen on a WOT pull or just normal aggressive driving, it always happened to me when I abruptly let off the gas, then back on quickly while the transmission was probably confused as to WTF I was doing.

When adam gave me the updated tune he said that should do it and if not it will require additional data logging runs. Fortunately didn't have to go that far. I'm surprised after you explaining what is going on they didn't have you do data log pulls.

Agreed and I'm going to take it upon myself to send a data log of the current condition and then again after I flash the last revision.
Seems we both have/had dissimilar conditions. It will be curious to see my end result. I'm glad you had yours rectified.
