Time to get the trans built, was wondering if anyone knows if I will need a re-tune after building it (Assuming yes), or just return to stock before removal and re-install? Currently ZFG 93 tuned. TIA
Ah! good to know it doesn't have to be, Should I bring it back to stock before I do anything or does it matter? My concern was to actually be able to drive it once the new one is in place. I will get with my tuner to have it dialed in though, thanks very much for the info.

No, think you misunderstood my statement. You don’t need to get a retune at all. I would get a retune, because the tuner can start throwing more power at it.

I was told by RSA that stock tuning was required for the new valve body to be programmed. After that was done, upload the previous 93 tune and go have fun. My tuner also made changes to the shift pressures and such to match the valve body changes RSA does. It is a night and day difference from what the stock unit was to what the RSA one is.
