Just a short background. The interceptor headlights use the amber turn signals as DRL instead of the long white strip and I just love the look. I've tried everything in forscan to make them work in the way because there are options but have not succeeded.

Just out of curiosity. Does anyone know if you can plug and play interceptor headlights into the civilian model? I'm not sure if it would be simple, or programmed differently and wasn't sure if anyone has tried.

If anyone has an answer, please post in here.

Looks so much more aggressive.

Agree with you 100% that the amber as DRL looks so much better! Saw you no the other thread about tweaking this in Forscan but that delay makes it kind of annoying. Kept mine on for now though. If you find a solution please make sure to update this post!

Every time I see Kia's with amber DRL's and my old Lincoln MKZ (some had amber, possibly Canadian models) I cringe. I have always preferred the bright white DRL's. To each their own!

It looks like there are several variations of the piu headlamp (level 2 - level 7?) and I can't figure out what the difference is between them. They're also like $1100 each, so I won't be the guinea pig lol.

I'm following several on ebay but I'm only aware of low, mid and high levels (based on the flasher bulb sockets or LEDs in the unit). My concern I think is shared with everyone on this thread: is the internal module and plug compatible with an ST? If so, should be plug n play.

So I’ve just become the guinea pig for you guys.
i found a very nice set of interceptor headlights on marketplace for $650 so i picked them up and just today I plugged them in to check compatibility. I found out they work perfectly! It seems the light setting is fully in the headlight module and isn’t related to the car computer at all so it’s plug and play all day.
I just have a quick mockup picture here since I need to take the time to pull off the bumper to install them. View attachment IMG_5530.jpeg

Im not sure where to find the headlight level but the left hand unit P/N is LB5B13035PE and the right is LB5B13008PE.
I think Ebay or FB marketplace would be your best chance, though on Ebay they tend to be sold as an individual rather than a set so you'd have to make sure they're both the equal style/level.
