2025 ST My previous ST was a 2020 Edge, the pre-collision assist would go off almost every time I drove it at least once, usually cars turning in front of me. My new 2025 ST now has 9500 miles on it, and it has never gone off. I have it set on the high sensitivity, and it is
suppose to turn on automatic when you start the car. I have tried to make it go off be approaching the rear of a stopped car but to no avail. I have attended the ST driving experience, and this was one of the driving tests you were given so
I know how it works and feels. I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this either working or not working. I am do for oil change next week so will have the dealer look at it.

It takes a lot for the system to do its job. If you do anything, let off the gas, slight braking, turn a little, the system thinks you’re handling it and doesn’t do anything unless a crash is imminent. I think you’re just a tad too worried about it, like I said it takes a lot for the system to work. You also have to be over 15 MPH or so I believe.

They probably improved the software in the refresh. They upgraded co-pilot 360 to BlueCruise so maybe they improved the rear brake assist and collision braking feature. In the 2020 they are way too sensitive and overreacts or is slow to realize the threat of collision has passed.

That’s not correct, Co-Pilot360 is Fords safety driver assist and is still on the new cars. Bluecruise didn’t replace it and is only the semi-autonomous driver assist.

I would hope they update software and make it more accurate and reliable, not to mention safer! So you're telling me the 2025 version of it is still scare the crap out of you inaccurate and brakes at shadows of trees and highway overpasses not to mention when someone is turning right and you're a safe distance away and they've already cleared out of your path, the alarm goes off? Ford has to do better! I learned to live with the unnecessary braking or beeping all the time. And I'm not an aggressive driver at all. I had active park assist 1.0 on my 2013 MKZ and it was ok but the 2020 2.0 version works eons better than 7 years prior. Of course, Ford quit while they're ahead and discontinued the park assist feature on all 2025 Fords and Lincolns! That upsetting because that's a feature I enjoy using and has never failed me! It's fully trustworthy and accurate unlike the active braking and brake assist.

Active Assist 2.0 is still on the 2025s.
