So…after reading the thread twice over and more snip’s additionally, it’s feeling like I might should go Performance Tune over the Race Tune routine on my 25 ST. One question is: for the 25 ST these are straight tunes no DMS how will that straight tune act in my other drive modes for me this is kind of a cloudy area for my understanding at this time even still I don’t mean to sound dense it just having a one single tune, and the multiple drive modes available in the car selector how does the one tune incorporate with that?
I’ve agonized over maximum horsepower and what I’m hearing you guys described as how shifting will react and a very calculated training of the foot. I’m well aware of that having played with normal and sport quite a bit being a large majority of my driving unless I’m looking for an easier foot situation just laid-back, I do enjoy the feel of the available being able to get up and around and a clear speedier line on the freeway to make advantage of very easily with sport mode at will, it’s a great feeling.
No, I haven’t done that much to my car as far as performance mods, short of suspension, which I have quite a few different things on not everything… Sway bars, vertical links, Steeda differential bracket, JXB “performance” transmission mount not the insert but a full one (this has tightened up the feel of my shifts quite a bit already). Also got the subframe inserts and pinion bushings. Also, the JXB single bushing insert on my differential and the stronger bolt.
I’ve ordered, the S&B CAI and will install asap. No other motor mods have been done yet although I have an oil catch can to install this next week… the intercooler will come later…
Sorry for so much writing. I’m guessing the tune being singular will actually affect all drive modes, possibly you can tell me that… it will help me understand how the single tune will function with my other drive modes. Tks. ~Z~
