My 25 ST is barely a couple months old at this point and the wipers have skipped horrendously since day 1 regardless of the amount of rain on it. I detail my own car every weekend, so I know it's not a dirty windshield...I've even taken a rayon pad and glass polish along with clay bar to the windshield to remove impurities. These blades just seem like some Amazon special and are complete and utter garbage. Is this yet another job 3 cost saving effect? They smear like crazy, skip and hop and make horrid sounds even in a downpour. Any recommendations on a BETTER set of blades?

Was looking at the Bosch ICON but have seen mixed results and am curious about the Silicone ones from Trico too.

I do plan on putting a glass ceramic on the windshield soon so blades won't really be active much after that (I've put one on every vehicle I've owned in the last 7 years), but until then...I need something better than these flimsy, barely making contact, trash blades.

I had the same issue when I bought mine. Complained to the dealer and they threw a new set on, haven't had any issues since.

Honestly...I didn't even think about that lol - I almost want nothing to do with the dealership past maintenance, but I will definitely reach out to them - this is pretty ridiculous for a $60k vehicle.

One problem is, no telling how long the "new" wipers just sat out in the sun and weather not moving. Not using them is worse than using them regularly.

Good point...I have no idea how long it sat on the lot before I got it in early September. I know it only had 27 miles on the odometer when I snagged it, but that doesn't exactly speak to how long it's been sitting there in the Houston sun.

Yep. My wife's car is a garage queen (maybe 40 miles a week), where mine is in the driveway all the time and gets 1k miles a month. I have to replace hers many times before I replace mine lol.

The windows sticker show the build date.

Yeah, mine was like 7/22/25, and I bought it 9/29. 7 miles, so it had some time in the sun.

Just checked the sticker, built 6/24/25 and bought early September...so yeah guess it's been rotting in the Houston sun during the heat of summer.

mine was doing the same, 3 sets of new blades, finally took a d/a polisher and cutting compound and cut the whole windshield, followed that up with ceramic glass cleaner. finally no more skipping blades..

0000 steel wool works great on glass.
