Just took my 22 ST into Ford.

62k and needs a new passenger turbo!!

In addition, the rear end was making noise for the past week or so and it sounded like a bearing.

Sure enough the pinion bearing was bad and the seal broke.

Upon further inspection Ford said the pinion gear was damaged.

All said 5k in repairs.

This leads me to question if tuning prematurely wears on these.

I've been running an E50 tune for the past 35-40k miles and wonder if that wore the turbo out?

Sincerely hoping the other doesn't go next....

I would just get the rear diff repaired and upgrade the turbos. You can probably get a pair of stage 3's for the cost of one factory replacement.

I thought the same thing but when I was told 890.00 new I just said go ahead and get it done. Let's just hope the other hangs in there.

I thought they would be a lot more expensive for factory turbos

Don't worry I'm sure I will get taken to the cleaners on the install and the rear end work!

Man, that sucks! I don’t think the tune would cause a turbo to fail. Driving it hard could cause the bearing issue but it’s likely just poor craftsmanship.

Yeah, I dont do many launches at all! I just like to get on it from time to time. Best draggy time was 11.82 1/4 so it is fun. To be fair this is the first thing that went wrong with my ST, just sucks that both major things happened around the same time.
