What is one or two things Ford should/need to change on the 2021 ST?

1) Upgraded exhaust (at least halfway to a Borla exhaust note)
2) Intercooler upgrade
3) Slight changes to the driver/passenger seat profile. Need to feel like you're in the seat and not on it
4) Higher massage setting (stronger)
5) Increase the speed of the TFT screen and central screen changing time. It's a touch too slow (is this a regulatory issue?)

Nits...

• better storage options in the front
• flat wireless charger (to charge my AirPods and phone)
• widescreen higher resolution display that has better use of space available
• memory on drive mode
• leds all around
• black Ford logo (at least as option)
• matching lugs to wheels
• option for another level up for interior (carbon fibre please)
• walk away auto lock (if the 2020 has this I can’t find it)

As for my tastes, a left foot rest would be great. So would matching wheels and lugs, better use of screen size.

I agree Sync4, better response on the screen, active suspension and more wheel options.

All the above, especially what John said. Love to see an explorer with a frame twisted like a pretzel!

From an esthetic point of view, I'd rather like to replace the white interior stitching with a dark red. Think it would look sharp.

Definitely would like to upgrade the processor/display response etc. from an iPhone 3 level to today's level!! Also, the OTA updates for not only Sync but other control modules promised for the new F-150 would be GREAT!!

Big thing I miss from our previous SUV's years ago? An opening rear hatch window!! Used to be able to put 8 or 10 foot 2x4's in the back and bring 'em home from Lowes/Home Depot with the window open!!

Cheers!!

Mostly interior touches, definitely needs more polishing - better fitment of pieces at the least, higher quality materials for a car at this price point. Fix the raggedy cloth edges, for example, around the moonroof. Better usage of the tech package screen for sure, the rear cam layout is dumbfounding, although it doesn't cause any problems for me.

Jurassic Park trim package! Hahahaha. But on a more serious note, speeding up the lag between drive mode changes would be one; stopping driver assistance settings like pre-collision and reverse brake assist from defaulting to 'ON' every time the car is turned on would be another.

Active squat control
Upgraded third row plastic arm rests
Rear power converter
Ride height control
Rock crawling gear
Optional hood scoop/vent
Front skid plate
Ability to turn fog lights on during day without going into lights "on" mode
Second row chair fold and squat (like vw atlas) to give more clearance
If ford does a map upgrade for more power, include a power mode to switch on/off.
Metal pedals
