Went to do an oil change and as I removed the felt cover underneath this fell out does anyone know what this could be ? Metal part has a swivel to it

I was here hoping it was a 10 MM socket lol

Probably a tool that was left behind when it was being built

Yeah looks like a piece of the holding fixture for large parts on the assembly line. It doesn’t look like anything else to me. If you really look at the engine/trans there are holes that appear to have no purpose. The holding fixture uses those holes to hold the parts as they’re installed onto the car. Looks like one fell off the fixture on yours
