Hi all!

My ST needs new struts in the front and I wanted to just change out the entire assembly because I am hearing some clunking which sounds like the bearings might be bad as well. So I figured it would just be better to change everything while I am doing this. Has anyone used the TRQ brand Strut and Spring Assembly set to replace the stock setup? If so, how does it feel? Equivalent to stock or a worse ride?

Thanks in advance for the help!

I also see that RockAuto has a set, but I am not sure if these are motorcraft or aftermarket, and if these are equivalent to the stock ST setup. Any thoughts on these is appreciated as well.

I have not run TRQ but they are a budget brand. Some complaints about noises after installing and not great longevity. If you can get a spring compressor, swapping just struts is not a tough task compared to replacing the whole assembly.

I recently replaced mine with oem from Rock Auto and they were reasonably cheap. I have lowering springs and a spring compressor so it was a no brainer for me.

Good luck whatever you do.
