I was wondering if anyone has put in a trailer brake control module? I contacted Ford and they do not offer a module or have any recommended brands. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, I have one and tow a 5000lb travel trailer with mine. Just get a proportional one with the correct connector and it is easy plug and play. Mine is a Tekonsha Prodigy, a similar Curt would do just fine too.

We use a Curt Echo. Literally a minute or 2 install. Just need to upload the app to your phone. You can also use it in other vehicles.

I looked at the Echo pretty good for a while, but ultimately I figured this was one of those cases where I would rather have a physical device to make adjustments on the fly, rather than going though an app on my phone. They really shine if you have multiple vehicles that you want to swap the brake with.

I installed the REDARC trailer brake controller myself. its super small and you dont have to have the controller in a specific angle or direction for it to work. you just hide and securely attach brain box and install the super small dial.
