We are going on a camping trip ending up eventually about 4 hours north into Canada from Minneapolis in a couple weeks. ~6 hours, 335 miles total. I've read reviews that say the Explorer ST will tow a camper just fine. (within all the weight ratings ofc) Saw one where an ST towed an Airstream a little bit bigger than our camper and the reviewer said to did just fine and would have been better if they had a WDH. ( Weight distributing hitch )

So, here's what I've got:

2021 Explorer ST, bone stock except for ID Speed differential brace, JXB rear diff bushing insert and upgraded diff bolt. Listed towing capacity of 5600 lbs.
2016 Lance 1995 travel trailer. 19', double axle, GVWR 5700. I feel we will get nowhere near that anyways, dry weight is supposedly just under 4,000 lbs.
Blue Ox WDH, arguably the best one there is.

Been towing the Lance with my 2004 Excursion which could pull a house, 12,000 lb rating. However I am hoping to make the new-to-me ST my new all in one vehicle, which includes being the new tow rig.

Thoughts? Has anyone else towed a camper/travel trailer this size with the ST?
