So at this point I am now looking at around 1200 miles on the clock. I think I am going to take what was said in a previous post about oil and go ahead with a oil change this week. What I am curious about is should I be running a heavier weight oil in our climate due to heat and such. I think they said to run it at 20 weight

5w-30 will be just fine.

Run what it calls for and change it when it calls for. Zero need for a 1000 mile oil change. It’s not the 70’s.
