Anyone have any recommendations on how to or what to use to clean the drains? I have a smell that developed over the past 2 weeks and I believe it’s coming from the sunroof/ a-pillar area?

The drain running down the pillar should be enclosed. I wouldn't think the smell would be coming from the middle of the drain.

I wouldn't discount the possibility of the cabin filter needing a change. I noticed mine having a bit of a sour smell the other day. Smells kind of like vinegar.

My wife hadn't said anything, and I'm not in it all that often. I need to change it, but I've got two arms that aren't what they should be right now (new shoulder in one, in a sling, and a PICC line in the other).

My cabin filters always look like new when I change them, but the smell goes away with a new one.

I have used string trimmer line to push build up threw the drain before. Not sure about the 20-25 explorers but my 16 had a small flower shaped rubber stopper at the end of the drain hose that stopped sold objects from passing by. I cut them off.

I’ll look into changing it out as I don’t remember the last time I did. However the smell is quite prominent around the front of the sunroof/ a-pillar sun visor area. I am going to look into cleaning the drains when I have time
