It's easier to have a good tint shop install a layer of UV shield across the entire windshield. Barely affects the light coming through, but drastically changes the UV rays coming through the windshield. It will drop the interior temps signiificantly as well as protecting the dashboard.

Totally agree! Minimal tint, primarily just a UV reflector. I've done it on all of our vehicles, including my wife's '26 ST last week. Makes a huge difference in heat inside the car on a sunny summer day!

I have the lightest ceramic tint on my front windshield that the place I had do it offered. I think it is 50%.. It is barely noticeable at all when driving day or night. I was nervouse while it was being applied since it was the full front windshield but I was really happy with the results when it was finished. I still use my Intro-Tech sun shade. Together they work very well. It does make a better difference using both and not just relying on the ceramic tint alone. Putting the sunshield in the windshield or removing it takes like 10 seconds.

50% for the front windshield is dark, 70 or 80% is light. You are misinformed.

3M makes a 90% as well. Crystalline CR90. Most installs i've seen use 70/80% and will be pretty undetectable unless you know what you are looking for. Even 50% isn't that bad but a little more noticeable that the windshield is tinted.

I'm clearly not the one misinformed on what tint percentages mean and are. 50% Is not a dark tint. If you were in my vehicle and I didn't tell you the windshield was tinted, you wouldn't even know it was. That is why I was nervouse when it was being applied but the business does this pretty often and they assured me beforehand that I would barely notice. They were absolutely correct.
