Spring Swap - Top Nut Pass-thru - Yes/No

Hey Folks. I'm getting ready to swap out the springs tomorrow. In watching the various videos out there, it seems like some of them reference a pass-thru socket being needed for the top nut of the front shock, but then others just use an impact and go to town. So are there certain years that require a pass-thru?

If an impact won’t break it loose or you don’t have one…use the pass through. And you don’t need to go buy a special socket…just use the right size spark plug socket and a wrench.

Perfect. Thanks! The spark plug socket was what I was hoping to use. I just don't want to get elbow deep and find out that I need another tool. I appreciate your quick response!
