Today marks the start ot the extremely critical battle for Bastogne in WWII. The 101st Airborne was completely surrounded and many military leaders expected them to fall due to lack of supplies and ammo until Gen Patton arrived. During this time, the Germans tried to get a full surrender to which the Screaming Eagles responded "NUTS".
