Yeah, I know. Crazy isn't it!?! Would you want that job? I don't know.
Off the Coast of VietNam we "flew" with left wings dipped to a 60 degree angle probably 100 or so feet off the deck for hours on end looking for Russian trawellers dressed up as fishing boats. They were knocking out our radars and GI's were dying. Everyone we found that was NOT in the red book of approved vessels got an urgent call from the A4's, A6's and F8's. I found many a piece of terminated fishing vessels a few minutes later.
