**UPDATE** posting this here to save on the scrolling. I reached a conclusion with this issue, which I documented here: Heads up with CVF 2020 Hotside pipe with BOV mount/boss (and customer support) | Explorer ST Forum Read on below for the original issue/question that I had.

Original post

Hey everyone, quick question. I'm in the process of installing a CV Fab intercooler and hot/cold side pipes (2020 version with the BOV/BPV boss), and I've run into a bit of a snag; wondering if anyone else has encountered this issue?

The problem is this: I have a Turbosmart BOV (the model that's advertised on the CV Fab website as paired with the charge pipes). When I try to install it on the CVF pipe, it won't seat all the way. There's a pretty substantial gap. The issue is the center section of the BOV is contacting the center "pillar" of the mounting boss -- the mounting boss is too high.

To confirm, I tried the BOV on the stock pipe, and it seats almost flush, no problem. I've attached two pictures, 1 is the BOV on the stock pipe, the other is the BOV on the CVF pipe.

I've reached out to support today for help -- my suspicion is that their hotside pipe mounting boss was not jigged/mounted at the correct height. Has anyone else encountered this problem and if so, how did it resolve for you? Thanks in advance!

Update: I got curious, so I used my digital caliper to measure the height difference on the center "pillar" of the mounting bosses between the stock and CVF. As expected, the CVF "pillar" is a little over 2mm taller than the stock one. Which explains the discrepancy in fitment, I guess. This is with both o-rings fully seated in the Turbosmart BOV, by the way.

Just chiming in: bought CVFAB downpipes, one outlet pipe was bent, hindering installation, and they forgot the O2 extensions. Also, tried to add the gaskets to the order because I forgot them, tried to contact them before they shipped the DP's, their response is hit or miss, wanna buy something response is quick, have a problem, good luck. It has shaken my confidence to the point where I might just go with the Steeda intercooler.

Exactly the reason I went with the FenFab pipes. While researching I found quite a few complaints about them. Customer service seems hit or miss. I do have their IC but I bought from ZFG when I got my tune. No problems with install though. Sounds like you need to return it for a replacement. It sucks to find out there’s a problem mid install! Been there before! Good luck!
