After a month of ownership down the drain, figured it was time to live in the garage for two days and paint correct the ST then ceramic coat it.
Process
- Decon wash with CARPRO Reset and Iron-x iron remover (No claying was required)
- 2 step paint correction...Corrected with a microfiber pad with Jescar Correction compound and finished with a Rupes yellow foam pad w/ Sonax Perfect Finish
- Degreased panel with Gyeon Panel Prep
- Coated vehichle roughly a quarter of a panel at a time with Crystal Serum Light, let flash/sweat then removed with 2x low pile single use microfiber towels
- Let car cure over night
- Half a panel at a time, top coated with EXO, let flash and remove...Used low pile for first wipe, high pile with second wipe (Rag Company towels)
- Let vehicle cure over 3 hours then applied second coat
- Ceramic coated glass w/ Nanolex Ultra Glass
Here are the results....Only a few high spots that needed buffing off and re applying so I'm happy with it being my first time.
