Was on a 650 mile roadtrip yesterday, at ~550 miles, was cruising at 60 mph and barely tipped into it, P0299 Turbo Underboost Condition popped up and went into limp mode. I thought I popped a charge tube somewhere (which happened immediately after the CVF intercooler and charge pipes were installed, easy fix).

Pulled over, checked every coupler, all tight . . . Cleared the code with the RTD4 and all good, Got into it hard a few times after and making 22.7 psi no problems. Put another 150 miles on since then and all good. Weird, right?

Has anyone ever seen anything like this? I'm not sure if could be an unexpected condition in the ECU tables or possibly a sensor?

I had the same thing happen this weekend. (‘26, CVF, ZFG, 7k miles on car). Same, happened at very light throttle, also gave the “service engine soon” message. I had to drive a few miles before I could stop, but I initially didn’t really notice loss of power, it was all very light throttle, heavy traffic… went to pass, that’s when I realized I had no ponies…. Stop, shut off engine, check hoses, etc., found nothing, puled the code, reset the code, restarted, “wrench” light gone, power normal, so far 500+ miles later, multiple restarts, some WOT moments, it’s running perfectly.

i am guessing (only guessing at this point) that it had a momentary error in a sensor output which kicked it into some kind of limp mode that required either engine restart or having the code cleared. Once restarted and/or cleared, all fine.

Monitoring, researching. Thoughts? Comments?
