Good afternoon!
Developed a larger crack in my windshield after Safelite attempted to repair the initial chip / crack (they warned me it was possible). I'm now going to have the windshield replaced and want to stick with the OEM windshield to ensure I get the one with the Explorer emblem in the lower right corner (I have a '22 Explorer ST). I talked with the parts department at Tedd Britt Ford and the gentleman couldn't confirm whether it would come with it, and recommended I call Ford Motor Company. Called FMC and spoke with the Parts Department and the woman on the phone could not confirm either, though the part number she pulled up is the same as what the dealership parts department quoted (LB5Z7803100L); she did say that it comes up as the "ST" windshield.
So for those that have ordered and received the windshield with the Explorer emblem, what was the exact part number ordered?
Ford Parts provided: LB5Z7803100L
Off my windshield: LB5B-S03100-BF
Any additional info / recommendations is greatly appreciated!
On a side note...
Have my CVF Fab intercooler and ValossaTech Big Mouth kit install scheduled for this Friday. Once that's complete, I'm going to add the ZFG Auto Octane tune. Should be a fun weekend of driving!
