Hey what's up everyone! Nice to meet you, my name's Todd. I have a black 2021 Ford Explorer ST that I bought used in March, 2024. It had around 75,000 miles on it when I bought it, and it is now about to clock 152,000 miles. I've had one or two hiccups with it, but other than that, it's been super reliable and basically bullet proof (Hopefully I don't jinx myself). I absolutely love my ST, and it faithfully carries me and my 4 young kids around everywhere. I live in the Charlotte NC area. Looking forward to getting to know everyone here!

The main reason I came aboard is because I'm looking for some recommendations on some yellow auxilliary driving lights that I can install to supplement the foglights. Looking forward to hearing your insights!

@ST_Driven77:

Welcome Aboard!!
You probably have some good stories and great observations from your prior ownership that you could share with the group.

Welcome! You’d have to find something custom to do with the auxiliary driving lights, I really couldn’t think of somewhere to put them.

I feel you man. I've had Lamin X on my fogs for a little over a year but the output kinda sucks. All the "Big Brands" don't make Explorer ST fogs from what I can see.

Good to read something positive about a high mileage ST from a new member. Welcome aboard! Have you checked the alignments of your current lights?

Nice to see the miles. On forums we only tend to get convo about making them look better, making them faster, or how much they have broken down lol.

No I have not checked the headlight alignment actually.

The Lamin-X seems like a decent option, however yes I would be concerned about the output. I do a lot of driving up to the western NY area, and I’d really like to have a nice set of low profile high output yellow fogs mounted low along the front bumper cover. I was driving up there recently during a pretty bad storm and while my visibility was ok, I would have preferred some much brighter fog lights.

Thank you! Yeah I’m quite surprised honestly at how well she runs. I don’t see replacing this thing anytime soon. Though I do drive like a grandma so that probably has something to do with it

I’m wondering though, given the mileage, are there some particular maintenance issues that I should keep an eye out for or perhaps be proactive about?
