Hi everyone, I'm new to the ST platform. We purchased our 2024 ST used with trade in miles of 704 I asked what is up with that? I was told it wasn't for him he was a truck guy ok makes sense truck guys don't typically go to suv's! So when i got it it had just over 800 miles.. We loved it until we got our first check engine light just 7 days after we drove off the lot! The issue was something to do with the emission's I talked with the dealership and they said it sat for awhile run a tank of gas thru it and see if that works so I did. I took it back in for service on 7/8 after doing what they said. I picked it up on 7/15 they replaced M1MZ-90863-A (tube as) and GL3Z-98325-B (bracket) I did mentioned my gas mileage at or around 14 or 15 mpg the only thing they said was run reg gas in the vehicle. 2 days later I drop the car off for a paint issue under the taillights which was only going to take a couple of days 12days later after i started calling almost everyday until i got it back. 14days later i got a second check engine light at this point we were pissed off! I took it in again on a Sat. Morning 7/30 they had it for 5 days as the service manager put it on a priority service getting it back on 8/4 as they replaced GL3Z-98325-B (bracket) again!!! Well today 8/8 at 9:24 am i got our 3rd you guessed a check engine light and once again for the 3rd time it the emission's again. On my ford pass it shows 2 prior services before I got it when it only had 714 miles on both service records. The dealer said that was the intake check-up for a used car. But as the carfax and dealer said it was used for 704 miles not 714 I dont see the dealer driving it for 10mile on a used car check in? How can I get all the service records on my vehicle prior to my purchase? This was all before I've even made my 1st scheduled payment!!! Has this happened to anyone else?
Thanks for yalls help not sure what to do?

Welcome?

I cannot say I have had a similar experience. With only ~800 miles; this truck sat for a while. Mine had 1426 miles when NEW. It was a demo vehicle for the dealer. That was low mileage for an AUG 2024 build when I bought in FEB 2025.

There may be others with insight to your predicament. I hope it works out and the bugs subside so you can enjoy the vehicle.

Pull the CarFax on it. Honestly at this point I’d ask for them to take back the car, it seems more hassle then it’s worth, pleanty of other cars available.

Some of these cars are used as demo's but also someone may have test drove it before you purchased it but after they reported miles. Never know.

The dealer I was originally going with had me drive one and then pulled another one out of the back of the dealership that had 4k miles on it that was used as a demo and I almost bought it, they were giving me a hell of a deal. I started looking it over and it was absolutely trashed in the back, the plastics in the back had a bunch of gouges and scratches in it and they were following me out the door to buy it. I didnt and I got the impression they knew there was some serious issues with it...dirty as hell to. Anyway, sometimes a dealer is just trying to make there sale and deal with the headaches later. Hope that is not the case with yours and congratulations on it, dont give up on it they are awesome.

I was originally looking to buy a 2025 Platinum with the 3.0 engine but the dealer had a 2025 ST that I test drove as it was the only one on the lot with the V6. It apparently was the first 2025 they received on the lot when it was special ordered by a customer. As it turned out though he was an elderly, not tech savvy type and he returned it the next day overwhelmed by all of the electronic features and there it sat since August with only 138 miles on it. I wound up buying it in January and got a pretty good deal; the only apparent issue was the dealer didn't purge the previous owner from the system and it was a problem getting the Pass App to allow me to connect (I'll skip the details but it was eventually sorted out). Other than that I haven't really had any trouble with the ST but have always wondered a bit why it sat there for 5-6 months unsold and if there was something else going on. Good luck, your service department sounds about as inept as mine.

Ever get this issue resolved? That's a pretty long rant for you to post once and leave the forum, haha.
