Just got my 2022 and learned about Fordpass. Hooked it up tonight and when browsing the app, looked at recalls. It shows a new recall just issued 2025-07-08 for a Low Pressure Fuel Pump.

Just curious if anyone knows if this impacts all years or a subset? The app just says the pump can fail and stall the engine. No remedy available from Ford yet.

Mine is a 2022.

Just got my notice in the mail the other day. I suspect the notice in Fordpass is linked to your VIN. If so, you’re subject to the recall.

From what I’ve heard this hasn’t effected the Explorers at all (get the recall work done still though), it’s been with the F150s.

Stands to reason, Haven't seen many fuel pump related threads on this site.

Mine failed within the first year. I was 65 miles from empty on my way to the gas station. Engine stalled and pump had to be replaced. Another time parked on an incline, it wouldn't start. I had to add 5 gallons to start it. Since then I never let it go below a 1/4 tank before fillup.

Sorry to hear that, is your ST in the recall group? I read that only 10% of the group is affected, I wonder if local topography has something to do with the failures.

I think that's a separate issue in itself. Fairly widespread problem and why I start looking for a gas station once i get below 1/2 a tank.

The no start on an incline with little gas in the tank is a common design flaw.
