Launching issues

Need some help on launching issues that I’ve been experiencing. In the past, I would randomly get a hard shudder right before the 1-2 shift and feel like it hits the rev limiter. It now does it almost every time I launch. Launching between 2200-2500 rpm’s, sport mode on, TC off.

I ran a datalog for Adam a while back and he mentioned that TC was possibly the cause but I’m not sure how to prevent it. Anyone have any idea how to remedy this issue?

There is an entire thread on this subject:

The torque converter does have a clutch mechanism, so it can slip. So far no one has been able to ascertain whether this is happening due to the TCU attempting to slip the clutch due to torque input to save the trans, or just hitting some mechanical limit due to other reasons.

If you want to do more research....

Follow the links I posted to the service manual- it shows how to diagnose the problem and also how difficult it would be to diagnose since it would take multiple occurrences prior to triggering a DTC.
