Interesting video on rain repellent coatings...

I have always wondered if RainX was still the best option for rain repellent, and it seems like that is the case when cost vs performance is accounted for. I am interested to hear from you crazy detailer guys as to what you think about this test and if you have similar thoughts.

The video is kind of long at 18 mins, but put the playback speed at 1.5X and it goes pretty quickly and you still get all the info...

The first one of these products I tried years ago was Rain X, I believe they must have been one of the frist ones to come out, Rain X does good it just doesn't last as long as some of the others from what I have experienced. The longest lasting one Iv'e used is the Gtechniq, the last time i bought it the kit came with a compound to clean the glass and a bottle of ISO to clean off the compound then two coats of tge Gtechniq. depending on how you wash your car it lasted a very long time.. Auto car washes take their toll..
