Interesting test of windshield water repellents...

I have always wondered if RainX was still the best option for rain repellent, and it seems like that is the case when cost vs performance is accounted for. I am interested to hear from you crazy detailer guys as to what you think about this test and if you have similar thoughts.

The video is kind of long at 18 mins, but put the playback speed at 1.5X and it goes pretty quickly and you still get all the info...

I simply wax mine... been doing that for 30 years and have never had an issue. Once I get above 45mph it sheets off faster than the wipers can remove it.

Same. Wax. The wipers glide easily, and it makes your glass look fantastic.

Clean with 0000 steel wool then wax…works better than anything sold specifically to repel rain.

I’ve used Meguiars Ultimate liquid wax for over a decade.

Ive been trying these....

Chem guys is a little easier to work with, but the Malco lasts a bit longer and is a better product overall.
A+ recommendation from @UNBROKEN on the steel wool. Takes your glass to the next level without much work.

A side note on the steel wool…do it outside and blow the car off with a leaf blower after. If you use any towels to clean it up, throw them away so they don’t get used on your paint on accident.

I’ve always had problems with RainX, don’t know if it’s user error, but could never make it not stream, and I never really saw a difference. I use my Purple Slice, its a wax and cleaner spray, works really well.

I use Adams ceramic for glass. It works great. Relatively cheap (for a graphene ceramic product) and super easy to apply. Not saying it's the best out there. But it's the best of what I have personally tried.
