So I just installed my eBay intercooler in my late build ‘22. Quality seems great like I would expect from a name brand and install went smooth just under 3 hours.
I used the Houston speed freaks video for reference and noticed 2 differences, one of which is slightly concerning. First minor difference is I do not have a parking sensor in my fender flare which I assume is just more decontenting. The second though is I do not have the big square shroud that surrounds the intercooler, only the lower smaller rectangle was there although there is a track where it looks like the larger shroud would clip into.
Now I’m wondering if there was an unreported accident or the previous owner had an aftermarket intercooler and removed it when the lease was up but tossed the shroud.
Either way is that something I should look into to replacing or will I get good enough flow over the intercooler with the whole grill area open like that?
