Fuel pump

Does anyone else have a gunk build up around the fuel pump? Just noticed today not sure if oil is leaking?

I'm not sure what that picture is showing. The fuel pump is inside the gas tank.

The high pressure fuel pump is on the top left side of the engine.

Yep we learn something new everyday lol. It’s going to the dealership Friday just before the warranty runs out. Probably a seal on the pump.

Dealership called today and told me the valve cover is leaking. They are going to replace both sides under warranty.

You have a LP fuel pump in the tank and that feed's the gear driven HPFP for the DI system.

It’s driven by a camshaft.

Yes your right. I meant the system has a conventional electric fuel pump in the tank feeding the mechanical high pressure fuel pump on the engine. Fords drives this from the cam others use a gear drive.
