A hairdryer to warm the letters up and a piece of fishing line or dental floss used more or less as a saw to detach or slice through the double-sided tape. If the tape is warm it comes off rather easily. It's a 10-minute job and will leave no marks as long as you're pulling the line away from the grill. I've found a lightweight fishing leader to work the best.
